How to Close Windows 7 System Restore Function

If you need a way to save space on the hard disk is a trick to reduce the size or completely disable the System Restore feature. We want to share all the options on how to take control of your operating system, even for readers who live on the edge of this advice is for you.

Note: Please note Windows 7 has just been published and there may be errors, accidents, etc ... and you will not be able to restore the system in case of disaster!

Disable System Restore

Now, with everything you say ... Open the Control Panel, go to the list of all items, then click System. In the next window, click System Protection.

The system opens the Properties dialog box, choose where you want your system disk, then click the Configure button.

Under the Restoration settings select "Disable system protection" and click Apply.

You will receive a warning from the confirmation screen that you want to verify the closure ... so it's not too late to change his mind. Click Yes to save space, as if still living on the edge.

Adjust the System Restore

With the large capacity hard drives in computers today, it's really no reason to completely disable the system restore, but you might consider limiting the amount of space required on disk as necessary . By limiting the amount of space used for the oldest restore points will be deleted. Fewer restore points as well.
After reducing the amount of space it uses, you can create a restore point immediately.
